Corona's Homecoming is the sixteenth episode of Spider Riders. It first aired in Canada and the US on August 06, 2006 on Teletoon.

Summary[]

Prince Lumen sends Corona and Hunter to search for the second Oracle Key in Araja Village, which happens to be where Corona was raised. Beerain follows them in hopes of snatching the key away and a battle between the Invectids and the Spider Riders ensues.

Plot[]

Prince Lumen and Princess Sparkle are playing cards and she asks how the search for the oracle keys are coming along. Lumen says they located two of them not far from there and sent Corona and Hunter to investigate. It is also a good excuse for Corona to visit her old hometown of Araja in search of the Oracle Keys. When they arrive, Corona gets a big welcome and so does Hunter. While they try to explain they're really here on business, Corona's friends and relatives are more interested in making a couple of the two eligible Spider Riders. Despite Corona and Hunter's best efforts, nothing can convince the villagers that they're just good friends. This is not helped by Corona's older twin sisters Sina and Mina, who keep asking pointed questions about their relationship. Meanwhile Buguese has learned of Hunter and Corona's trip and that her village isn't far from the next Oracle Key, Beerain has a plan, if she followed the Spider Riders. They would lead her right to the key, Buguese supports the idea completely. Later on in their room, Corona is downright embarrassed that everyone thinks of them as a couple and nothing she says will change her mind, Hunter asks if Sina and Mina are her sisters, Corona says they are but not by blood. Later on at dinner the twins start to tease Corona again and she goes up to bed. The next day, Hunter asks Corona to show her the monument, this leads to more affection from the village believing the two are in love. Corona agrees but does tell him they won't find anything. After arriving Hunter makes a vow like she did, which Corona questions. Hunter explains after she went to bed, he talked to the twins.

While talking with her sisters that night, Hunter had learned some surprising facts about Corona's childhood. As it turns out, Sina and Mina found Corona wondering near the village when she was little. The only thing the young Corona could remember was her name and the only possession she apparently owned was her Manacle. The two girls took her in and raised her as their own little sister. They did worry for her safety and decided to hide her manacle from her. However, once she found it again, she made a decision to become a Spider Rider and vowed to protect Araja. Hunter asks Corona why she never told him her story; she explains it is just silly and embarrassing, but Hunter tells her he actually thinks it's cool. Inspired by her childhood vow, Hunter visits the town monument and makes a vow of his own.

Suddenly the resolve of the Spider Riders is put to the test immediately when Beerain and her Buzzrays show up also looking for an Oracle key. When Beerain summons The Coliseum Hunter and Corona defend the monument and town from the invasion. Though they don't find an Oracle Key at the monument, Hunter and Corona leave after making a new vow to protect all of Arachna. After returning home they tell Prince Lumen but the prince was informed of them being a couple which they again try and take back.
